Who we are
AhavaSana is operated by Orly Chissick, a US citizen. Legal inquiries are governed by United States law.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with honesty and care.
What information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including your name and email address when you sign up to receive letters from Orly, your name, email address, and payment information when you purchase private sessions, and the responses you provide in the intake form after purchasing private sessions.
When you sign the liability waiver as part of your intake, we also collect your typed legal name and the date of signature as your e-signature.
We also collect basic usage data through standard website analytics, including pages visited and time spent on the site. This data is anonymous and used only to understand how the site is being used.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver what you have purchased or signed up for, to send occasional letters and updates if you have subscribed, to schedule and conduct your private conversation if you have purchased private sessions, and to improve the website and its content.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third parties except as necessary to deliver our services, for example our email platform and payment processor.
Your intake form responses
The information you share in the intake form before your private conversation is read only by Orly Chissick and used solely to prepare for your conversation and personalized practice. It is treated with complete confidentiality and is never shared with anyone.
Email communications
If you subscribe to receive letters from Orly, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. We do not send promotional emails to people who have not subscribed.
If you have purchased private sessions and have not yet completed your intake form, you will receive one automated reminder email 7 days after purchase.
Payments
Payments are processed securely through a third-party payment processor. AhavaSana does not store your payment card information.
The Caregiver's Care Package: what we collect and why
What we collect when you buy.
- Your name and email address.
- If it's a gift: the recipient's name and email address, and the personal note you choose to write.
- Order details: what was bought, the date, the payment status, and whether it was delivered.
What we do not collect. We do not see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe, under Stripe's own privacy policy.
How we use it.
- To process your payment and deliver the Care Package to the right person.
- To send you messages about your order: confirmation, delivery, and a link again if you ask for one.
- To help if something goes wrong.
What we don't do. We do not add buyers or gift recipients to any marketing or newsletter list because of a Care Package order. You will only hear from us about marketing if you choose to sign up for it separately.
Who we share it with. Only the service providers needed to run the Care Package, such as our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery service, and our website and database host. They may only use it to provide those services. We do not sell your information.
Gift recipients. If someone sends you a Care Package, we hold your name and email because they gave them to us. We use them only to deliver the gift and to help you get your link again.
How long we keep it. We keep order records for as long as needed to run the Care Package, handle questions, and meet legal and tax obligations. The private link stays valid so you can keep listening.
Your choices. You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing orlychissick@ahavasana.org. We will respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
Security. Recordings are stored privately and played through temporary, secure links. Private links are long and unguessable. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your information.
Cookies
Our website uses only essential cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete your information, and to unsubscribe from communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through the Contact page.
Data retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will note the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.
